Terms of use

BlocLeague is honor based. Every counted top is attested by another climber at the wall through a QR bump, and every new problem needs a co-sign. Falsely witnessing, or logging a top you did not complete, undermines the whole league and can cost you your standing, your reputation, and your account.

You need to be at least 13 to hold an account. Sign-in is through Google only, so there is no password for you to manage or for us to store. You are responsible for what happens on your account. One person holds one account. Duplicate, shared, or impersonating accounts are removed.

A status economy needs real people, so accounts use the real name and photo from your sign-in. If a safety situation calls for it, you can set a display name that others see instead, while your account stays singular underneath.

Collusion, witness-graph gaming, grade manipulation, fake gyms, and sybil accounts are all grounds for removal. Visibility across the league is deliberate: it is how cheating gets caught. We may review patterns of witnessing and grading to protect the competition.

Scores, coefficients, divisions, and standings are computed by the platform. In-round points are provisional and finalize at round close on one fixed instant worldwide. The platform's computed results are final. The operations agent handles review queues and editorial only and never edits scores by hand.

Only real commercial climbing facilities appear as venues. Claiming a gym grants the right to verify and manage its walls, never authorship of the circuit that climbers build. Climbers never pay to compete.

When you capture a problem you may add a photo, hold marks, and a proposed grade. You keep ownership of what you submit and grant BlocLeague a license to display it inside the league and its archive. Do not upload content you have no right to, or that identifies other people without their agreement.

Do not harass other climbers, scrape or bulk-collect data, probe or interfere with the platform, or try to break the scoring or witnessing systems. Use BlocLeague for the competition it is, not as a general social feed or messaging service.

Climbing is inherently risky and you take part at your own risk. BlocLeague records results; it does not supervise climbs, check equipment, or make any facility safe. Follow the rules and staff of the gym you are in. The service is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, and we may update the terms as the product grows; material changes will be signposted in the app. Questions go to hello@blocleague.app.
